What you will do
- Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for assigned sprint features.
- Design and execute manual and automated functional, API, end-to-end, integration, database, regression, and UAT tests.
- Support performance and other non-functional testing, prepare test data, and maintain requirement-to-test traceability.
- Raise, investigate, and retest defects in Jira while collaborating with developers, the product owner, and sprint team members.
- Develop and maintain automated tests using C# and Playwright, improve the existing automation framework, and support CI/CD test execution.
- Use GitHub Copilot and approved AI agents for test design, coding, maintenance, troubleshooting, and preparation of complete, reviewable validation evidence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of practical software testing experience, including both manual testing and test automation.
- Hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience with Playwright or another modern browser automation tool.
- Knowledge of API, end-to-end, and database testing.
- Experience working in an Agile sprint team.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and Browser Developer Tools.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming and maintainable coding practices.
- Ability to organise independent work, take ownership, communicate risks clearly, and solve and debug problems effectively.
- Good written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance testing.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Experience improving automation frameworks.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent practical knowledge.
- Experience in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with GxP, GCP, GDPR, formal validation, or audit-ready test evidence.
