iOS Engineer (Identity Verification)

Location: United Kingdom; remote, or hybrid if London based.

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and maintain robust iOS applications and modular SDKs using Swift and UIKit.
• Translate Figma specifications into responsive, pixel-perfect interfaces aligned with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines.
• Implement clean, scalable architectures using MVVM or VIPER and participate in peer code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, QA, and the Team Lead throughout discovery, sprint ceremonies, and delivery.
• Use approved AI developer tools for coding, unit testing, refactoring, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering and maintaining production iOS applications or SDKs in Swift.
• Strong proficiency with UIKit, Auto Layout, Foundation, and CoreGraphics; required understanding and knowledge of SwiftUI.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, protocol-oriented programming, and core software design patterns.
• Experience with networking, REST APIs, and asynchronous operations using URLSession and Swift Concurrency with async/await or Combine.
• Practical experience writing unit tests with XCTest or Swift Testing.
• Proficiency with Swift Package Manager or Carthage and Git workflows, including pull-request reviews and Git Flow.
• Familiarity with iOS release processes, TestFlight distribution, and basic CI/CD concepts.

Nice to have

• Experience with local data persistence using Core Data, Realm, or SQLite.
• Experience authoring automated UI tests with XCUITest.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Fastlane, or Concourse.
