Senior Android Developer (Android)

Location: Sweden; fully onsite in the office five days a week. Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Android applications and reusable platform libraries for multiple products and internal teams.
• Design, implement, test, document, and maintain public APIs and SDKs.
• Deliver complex features, improve user-facing functionality, and optimize existing codebases, memory usage, and battery consumption across Android devices.
• Analyze performance and reliability metrics, refactor code, and write unit and integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions while collaborating with product, business, and release teams.
• Mentor junior developers, promote engineering standards, and support timely bug resolution and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and solid proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and SQL databases.
• Good understanding of version control tools, particularly Git.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills and experience working in Agile environments.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proactive approach to code quality, performance optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.
• Must work from the European Union region and hold a work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience publishing and maintaining libraries or SDKs to artifact repositories.
• Familiarity with other mobile operating systems, such as iOS.
• Experience with Firebase tools, including Remote Config, A/B testing, Crashlytics, Appsflyer, and Clevertap.
• Experience applying GenAI in structured SDLC workflows, including prompt patterns or tool integrations.
• Interest in emerging AI-driven practices such as agent-based workflows, automation patterns, and AI-augmented development.
