TL;DR
Junior ASIC Backend Engineer (ASIC/ARTPEC SoC): Developing and implementing ARTPEC SoC chips with an accent on floor-planning, synthesis, low-power implementation, timing closure, and power integrity. Focus on creating timing constraints, optimizing physical implementation, performing IR-drop and equivalence analysis, and evaluating new ASIC tools and technologies.
Location: Sweden - Lund; the posting also lists Remote, while the workplace type is On-Site.

What you will do
- Contribute to the ASIC implementation phase for ARTPEC SoC chips.
- Perform top-level floor-planning, power planning, subsystem partitioning, and macro placement.
- Work on block and subsystem physical synthesis and low-power implementation.
- Develop top-level I/O timing constraints and perform timing optimization and closure.
- Conduct static and dynamic IR-drop analysis and equivalence checking.
- Collaborate with RTL design teams, ASIC vendors, project managers, and system architects; evaluate new tools and technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, engineering physics, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of ASIC technologies and low-power implementation flows.
- Experience with EDA tools for floor-planning, synthesis, and timing closure.
- Experience writing SDC-based timing constraints for STA and implementation tools.
- Experience with UPF-based low-power implementation flows.
- Programming and scripting skills in C, Python, TCL, or similar languages.
- Good presentation and communication skills in English.
- Analytical, systematic, curious, collaborative, and eager to learn; able to share knowledge with junior and senior colleagues.
