Infrastructure Tech Lead (AWS)

Location: Ramat Gan, Israel; hybrid workplace.

What you will do

• Ship back-end and front-end features during the first months to learn the product, codebase, and teams.
• Lead architecture and infrastructure initiatives from design through production, including modernizing a mature PHP monolith into microservices and migrating background processing to TypeScript/Python serverless systems on AWS.
• Improve observability and scale analytics on ClickHouse while defining system design, data models, code quality, testing, and technology adoption practices.
• Shape the agentic SDLC, including how AI coding agents are used for planning, implementation, review, testing, and guardrails.
• Write and review critical full-stack code, mentor engineers through design and code reviews, and share production ownership through the on-call rotation.
• Work with Product, team leads, and R&D engineers to turn business needs into technical plans.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience building and running web applications at scale.
• 2+ years as a tech lead, architect, or in a similar role leading cross-cutting project design and delivery.
• Strong experience with at least one back-end language: PHP, TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Java, C#, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with an agentic SDLC using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar to plan, write, review, and test code.
• Experience evolving large legacy codebases through refactoring, upgrades, and incremental migrations while continuing to ship product changes.
• Deep experience with MySQL or another relational database, including data modeling and performance at scale.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, Terraform, Pulumi, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across teams and departments.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• PHP experience and experience with more than one back-end ecosystem, such as PHP alongside TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with a modern front-end framework, especially Vue.js.
• Experience designing and running AWS serverless systems using Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, Step Functions, DynamoDB, or OpenSearch Serverless.
• Experience with analytical databases such as ClickHouse, as well as NoSQL, search, and in-memory stores such as CouchDB, OpenSearch, or Redis.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and background processing at scale.
• Experience building LLM-powered product features.
• Experience working on complex B2B SaaS applications.
