Payments Specialist (Fintech) - payment operations at an international EMI

An international financial institution and electronic money institution (EMI) is looking for an experienced Payments Specialist to join its team in Limassol. This role is suited to a detail-oriented professional with experience in financial services, a strong understanding of payment processing, and the ability to manage complex payment flows while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

📍 Limassol, Cyprus - on-site

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily payment operations, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing, settlements, and reconciliations across multiple platforms
- Monitor payment systems, troubleshoot technical and operational issues, and collaborate with internal teams to optimize payment flows
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work closely with AML and fraud prevention teams
- Prepare reports on payment operations, transaction volumes, and performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with partner banks, payment providers, and internal teams to support smooth integrations and maintain strong partnerships
- Stay up to date with payment industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies

What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in an EMI or financial services environment
- Strong understanding of payment processing, including SEPA, SWIFT, card payments, and alternative payment methods (APMs)
- Knowledge of financial regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and compliance procedures
- Experience with payment systems, financial software, and transaction reporting tools
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail when managing complex payment flows
- English proficiency at C1-C2 level
