AML Investigator (Web3)

Location: 100% remote worldwide; European Timezone.

What you will do

• Conduct and adjudicate unusual activity investigations within applicable regulatory timelines.
• Assess exposure to fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions risks.
• File SARs where required, recommend account closures, and freeze funds as applicable.
• Support Customer Help Desk and Legal Team requests for investigative assistance.
• Communicate with customers, agents, and internal attorneys.
• Develop investigative techniques and knowledge of blockchain technology, virtual currencies, and criminal modus operandi.

Requirements

• Experience in an investigative function.
• Demonstrated AML experience, including CDD/EDD, AML/CTF/Sanctions Investigations, and SAR/STR reporting.
• Experience using blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, or Elliptic.
• Basic knowledge of blockchain technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking, sound decision-making, attention to detail, and organisational understanding.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, seek guidance when required, and make decisions delegated by the Head of Investigation Team or CCO.
• Flexibility regarding working arrangements and hours.
