Manager, Graphic Design, Burger King, Canada

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; onsite 5 days per week at the Toronto Restaurant Support Center.

Salary: CAD 110,000–125,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus and potential equity compensation.

What you will do

• Translate strategic direction into high-quality graphic, video, and animation content within established brand guidelines.
• Lead end-to-end motion and video production, including storyboarding, footage sourcing or shooting, editing, and animation.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a Junior Graphic Designer through goal-setting, delegation, coaching, and feedback.
• Create graphics, illustrations, layouts, animated menu boards, digital advertising, social media, email, mobile app, and out-of-home assets.
• Support national campaigns and local franchisee advertising while collaborating with marketing, digital teams, and external agencies.
• Establish workflows and quality standards for design, video, and animation output and manage content uploads through a content management system.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in graphic design or a related field, including video editing and/or animation.
• Required proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Required strong proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other video editing or motion/animation tools.
• Proven knowledge of typography, color, shape, design and animation principles, and video production/post-production workflows.
• Experience managing people and/or projects, with the ability to coach, provide feedback, and develop junior creative talent.
• Strong knowledge of web design and development tools, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and content management systems.
• Knowledge of UX/UI design best practices and the ability to manage multiple creative priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior in-house or agency design experience; experience managing, mentoring, or leading junior designers is strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, motion design, visual communications, or a related discipline.
• Ability to code custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including email implementation with Braze.
• Experience in quick-service restaurants or consumer packaged goods.
• Proficiency in French.
