Cyber Operations Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Westminster, Colorado; onsite at least three days per week and more as needed.

Base pay in Colorado: $105,000.00–$140,000.00–$154,000.00 annually.

What you will do

• Monitor SIEM and other security tools, analyze alerts, and provide remediation or escalation.
• Support incident response and investigation activities for the Cybersecurity Operations Center.
• Gather and analyze information for IT remediation teams and collaborate with MDR analysts on real-time data feeds.
• Work with cybersecurity engineering on log-source generation, security-tool issues, alert changes, and automation runbooks.
• Support vulnerability management, including identification and awareness of zero-day vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to obtain a United States-issued TS/SCI security clearance; applicants without the required active clearance are not eligible for consideration.
• Must work onsite at least three days per week, and more as needed, in the Westminster, Colorado office.
• General knowledge of network and system/application architecture and administration principles.
• General knowledge of cybersecurity monitoring-system architecture, including SIEM and log-management architecture.
• Understanding of current attacker and threat-actor tools, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability and willingness to share on-call responsibilities, work non-standard hours, support cybersecurity investigations, and travel up to 15% when required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, or a related field.
• Professional experience with AWS and cloud security technologies.
• Experience supporting digital forensic investigations across endpoint, host-based, network, and cloud environments.
• Coding experience with Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with network security, networking technologies, and system, security, and network-monitoring tools.
