Company

hirify.global develops automotive products and services with a vision centered on zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion.

What you will do

  • Lead technical debugging of IVI and VCU field issues through reproduction, log and trace analysis, and cross-team root-cause investigations.
  • Create reproducible bench setups, issue repositories, automated tests, and expanded coverage for field problems.
  • Analyze warranty reports, diagnostic logs, and telemetry to identify systemic reliability and serviceability issues.
  • Design and implement diagnosability features including structured logging, health monitoring, fault-injection hooks, self-tests, and guided diagnostics.
  • Improve dealer and technician workflows, diagnostic UIs, troubleshooting flows, and repair guidance in collaboration with field quality and support teams.
  • Build automation and AI-assisted diagnostics, establish observability and fault-reporting standards, and ensure serviceability requirements are reflected in platform interfaces and integration contracts.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in automotive or embedded systems, including significant experience with infotainment/IVI or VCU development.
  • Strong C++ skills in resource-constrained, real-time, or embedded environments and solid Python skills for tooling, data analysis, and diagnostics automation.
  • Practical experience with automotive platforms or middleware such as Android Automotive OS, embedded Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR Adaptive, SOME/IP, or DDS.
  • Deep understanding of vehicle software integration and diagnostics, including CAN, Automotive Ethernet, UDS or comparable diagnostics protocols, ECU communication patterns, and vehicle signal architectures.
  • Experience debugging complex intermittent field issues end to end through log and trace analysis, on-bench reproduction, and cross-team investigation.
  • Experience shipping production software into vehicles through OEM release processes and automotive lifecycles.
  • Ability to lead technical investigations, coordinate stakeholders, and mentor engineers in debugging and serviceability practices.

Nice to have

  • Experience with dealer or technician diagnostic tools, service workflows, or field quality engineering.
  • Experience with graphics or HMI stacks and IVI user flows involving error handling, fault indication, or technician-facing modes.
  • Familiarity with connectivity and telematics systems for remote diagnostics and data collection.
  • Exposure to OTA update systems, cybersecurity including ISO 21434, or software-defined vehicle architectures.
  • Experience building diagnostics data and automation pipelines or AI/ML-assisted troubleshooting systems such as fault classification, symptom clustering, or recommendation systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hybrid work with regular in-person attendance at the Warren, Michigan location.
  • Relocation benefits are available to candidates who qualify under company policy.
  • Employee benefits and total rewards support well-being at work and at home.
  • Inclusive workplace committed to belonging, equal opportunity, and non-discrimination.
