Senior Accountant, Global Accounting Inventory

Location: Escazú, Costa Rica; hybrid work location assignment.

What you will do

• Manage and process financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Contribute to moderately complex projects and manage time to meet targets.
• Mentor colleagues and review their work.
• Use judgment to modify accounting methods and techniques.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, associate’s degree with 6+ years, BA/BS with 2+ years, or MBA/MS with any years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in financial transaction processing and financial software and systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical or healthcare industry experience.
• Advanced knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
• Project management skills.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience using common AI tools, including ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, for problem-solving and productivity, with an understanding of responsible AI practices, risk management, and ethical use.
