DevOps Engineer @ Digital Banking Operations (all genders) (Fintech)

Location: Bratislava, AT

Salary: minimum EUR 2,200 gross per month for this full-time position; actual salary depends on professional and personal qualifications.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve incidents across cloud and on-premise infrastructure supporting the George banking application.
• Provide developers with infrastructure-related and day-to-day operational support.
• Analyze application and infrastructure logs using Grafana, CloudWatch, and related tools.
• Support performance testing, analyze results, and assist with deployments and releases across environments.
• Set up and maintain application and service monitoring and create operational and technical documentation.
• Participate in the on-call rotation: one week every 6–8 weeks after onboarding and training.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Java application servers or standalone Java configuration, HTTP/HTTPS, RESTful APIs with JSON, messaging concepts including MQ, AQ, and JMS, infrastructure as code, and code versioning.
• Basic understanding of GenAI, LLM, and MCP concepts.
• Basic experience or strong interest in Linux, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Cassandra, relational databases, and SQL queries.
• Basic experience or strong interest in AWS services including EKS, RDS, ALB, EC2, and security groups.
• Basic experience or strong interest in Kubernetes, Helm, and container technologies including Docker and LXC.
• Ability to work proactively in a highly international environment and collaborate in English with experienced team members.
