Cloud Quality Engineer (Cloud Automation & AI-Augmented Testing)

What you will do

• Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to scaffold, maintain, and expand automated test suites for cloud applications and APIs.
• Automate synthetic test-data generation, failure-log analysis, and QA triage.
• Generate and validate tests and code from OpenAPI/Swagger schemas and functional specifications before feature merges.
• Design end-to-end and integration test frameworks for cloud control panels, backend microservices, and provisioning workflows using Python, Pytest, and API/UI runners.
• Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent pipelines and improve pipeline feedback and test stability.
• Evaluate and pilot AI tools, agents, and frameworks that improve productivity and system reliability.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development in test.
• Daily, hands-on experience using AI coding assistants and LLMs to write code, generate test data, or automate routine workflows, including effective prompting and critical review of generated output.
• Strong coding skills and extensive experience with test automation.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and distributed microservices derived from formal specifications.
• Comfort working with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and virtual machines.
• Practical experience integrating automated test stages into GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or equivalent CI pipelines.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and a builder mentality, including proactively finding edge cases, challenging requirements early, and optimizing developer feedback loops.
• Willingness to undergo extended security vetting (SÜ2).

Nice to have

• Experience building custom CLI utilities.
• Experience with Pytest, TypeScript, or contract testing such as Pact.
