Senior Data Science Consultant (Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid in Maastricht, Netherlands, with work from the office, home, and client sites.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements from strategy through execution and provide strategic recommendations to middle and senior management.
• Develop and oversee predictive and explanatory models using machine learning, econometrics, optimization, and time-series forecasting.
• Lead projects involving Generative AI and large language models.
• Manage stakeholders and guide multidisciplinary project teams toward impactful delivery.
• Enhance Data Science and Generative AI offerings through training sessions, working groups, and publications.
• Support thought leadership and business development through events, proposals, collaboration opportunities, and client relationship management.

Requirements

• Completed WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering, or a related technical field involving substantial programming.
• 3–6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent academic research.
• Strong analytical mindset, systematic problem-solving ability, and capacity to synthesize actionable insights.
• Strong interest in data and AI-related topics, with the ability to quickly build expertise and help clients identify opportunities.
• Fast learning ability, strong communication skills, adaptability, and entrepreneurial drive.
• Fluency in English with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Proven interest in Data Science, Generative AI, and relevant sectors such as Energy and Finance.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences, manage multiple stakeholders, guide project teams, and mentor colleagues.
• Work permit sponsorship is not available.
