Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands; willingness to travel and work with local and international clients is required.

What you will do

• Lead an internal team developing AI products and shape the future of Machine Learning Engineering at hirify.global.
• Work as a Machine Learning Engineering expert on multidisciplinary client projects.
• Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments.
• Build production-level ML/AI solutions using strong software engineering practices.
• Guide Data Scientists in scaling models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping.
• Deliver trainings, lead internal meetings, organize external events, participate in client workshops, and communicate expertise through articles, conferences, and press releases.

Requirements

• Established technical professional ready to take on greater leadership responsibilities, with strong project management and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• MSc-level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience building production-quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines and models.
• Good understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals and strong knowledge in a specific domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP.
• Expert Python skills and proficiency in at least one of Scala, C++, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with database management languages such as SQL or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Unix-based command-line tools and DevOps tools including Git, Docker, and Kubernetes; and big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Strong interest in data and AI topics, ability to quickly build expertise, and enthuhirify.globalsm for applying these solutions to business problems.
• Experience coaching or mentoring other engineers.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Dutch.
• Willingness to travel and work at local and international clients.
