AMP Financial Advisor Trainee (Boca Raton, FL)

Location: Boca Raton, Florida, United States. Resident workstyle; travel is less than 25%.

What you will do

• Complete distance learning, apprenticeship, rotations, training assignments, assessments, and performance requirements within the Advisor Mastery Program.
• Develop a book of business, meet production targets, prospect for clients, network in the community, and build client pipelines and market niches.
• Manage client relationships by evaluating financial needs, investment opportunities, holdings, available capital, objectives, time horizons, risk profiles, and preferences.
• Recommend suitable investment products, solutions, and services; provide financial advice and counsel; and maintain a high level of client service.
• Open, transfer, and close customer accounts; maintain records; monitor portfolios; process purchase and sale instructions; enter orders; and follow up on transactions.
• Stay current on investment products, financial planning, economic and financial conditions, industry rules, regulations, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred, with a minimum of three years of relevant work experience demonstrating achievement in sales, preferably intangible sales, or a business environment; an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training may be approved by Human Resources.
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, financial markets, banking, financial data analysis and reporting, product or service sales, firm policies, strategies, and compliance guidelines.
• Ability to use client relationship management systems and required software for financial plans, correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to identify customer needs through questioning and listening, manage multiple detailed assignments with changing priorities, communicate effectively orally and in writing, and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to persevere through rejection, network and market oneself and hirify.global, demonstrate persistence, accept criticism, and handle high-stress situations calmly.
• Securities Industry Essentials Exam (SIE) is required unless an exemption or grandfathering applies, or must be obtained within four months of program start.
• Series 7 and Series 66 are required, or must be obtained within four months of program start.
• Life, Health and Variable Annuity license is required, or must be obtained within six months of program start.
