Analytics Engineering Team Lead (AI)

Location: Poland; remote work is available from many countries, with offices in the United States, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine.

What you will do

• Lead and grow the analytics engineering and web analytics team by setting priorities, coaching team members, and maintaining a steady delivery rhythm.
• Design, build, and evolve SQL-based semantic models and metric definitions across products.
• Move the team toward reusable, tested, documented datasets with automated tracking checks and data-quality monitoring.
• Set standards for modeling, version control, testing, code review, and release practices across the data organization.
• Partner with Data Business Partners, Data Science and ML, and Data Platform teams on scope and ownership while staying close to critical code.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data, or BI engineering, including 2+ years leading a team or leading others technically.
• Expert SQL and Python skills, including query and performance optimization, incremental loads, deduplication, slowly changing dimensions, and production Python components.
• Experience designing warehouse, mart, and semantic-layer models using star schema, Data Vault, or an equivalent methodology.
• Experience optimizing and troubleshooting cloud data pipelines using platforms such as AWS Athena, Redshift, or Glue and orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Experience establishing branching, code review, schema and data testing, CI, and clear rollout and rollback plans.
• Experience designing data validation, resolving root causes, setting documentation standards, and investigating unfamiliar data sources.
• Ability to design solutions for complex problems, divide cross-team work into clear deliverables, build decision-oriented dashboards, and partner with business leaders.
• Experience redesigning workflows around AI tools and evaluating AI outputs for quality, privacy, and bias.
• Experience owning complex team-level projects, making high-impact decisions, coaching people, setting scope expectations, and managing change.
• Fluent English and the ability to clarify complex ideas, build consensus across teams and time zones, and communicate effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework.
• Experience with web analytics and tracking, including GTM and GA4.
• B2B SaaS or document-workflow/e-signature experience.
