Senior Go Software Engineer (SRE/DevOps)

Location: Remote, Poland

hirify.global provides software engineering services for a global retail services client operating across multiple countries.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable Go microservices and backend or middleware solutions for a secure, EU-based PaaS cloud platform.
• Optimize performance, reliability, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance across existing and new solutions.
• Own operational and SRE activities, including incident support, system reliability, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
• Work with PostgreSQL and other relational databases for data processing and storage.
• Support unit, integration, and manual testing, code reviews, CI/CD processes, and automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile planning, refinement, review, and retrospective ceremonies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Go.
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
• Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Strong coding, testing, debugging, and system integration skills.
• Understanding of secure software development principles.
• Experience with containerization and cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, virtual machines, and CloudFoundry.
• Experience with observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Ability to work independently in an Agile environment and strong problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis.
• Experience providing technical leadership and supporting complex systems.
• Confident written and verbal English communication in a multicultural and distributed setup.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
