Associate Field Manager - Field (Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Magarini, Kilifi, Kenya; regular travel to program field sites in and around the area.

What you will do

• Execute and adjust field work plans, coordinate daily activities, plan team routes, track enrollment, and escalate operational challenges.
• Manage Field Officers through scheduling, check-ins, coaching, mentoring, onboarding, performance reviews, leave planning, and disciplinary support.
• Conduct quality checks, field shadowing, survey reviews, data analysis, reporting, and targeted training to improve data collection.
• Collect household surveys, pilot quality-management tools, refine targeting criteria, troubleshoot field processes, and coordinate additional data collection.
• Manage stock, recipient phone delivery, flyers, protective equipment, field gear, devices, timesheets, transport reconciliations, and airtime approvals.
• Engage administrative and community leaders, manage stakeholder records, monitor security and operational risks, identify impact stories, and support external visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience managing teams in the humanitarian or development sector.
• Proven people-management experience in remote or resource-scarce settings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools, including Excel or Google Sheets.
• Deep familiarity with Magarini Sub-County and Kilifi County, including local customs and terrain.
• High integrity, empathy, alignment with hirify.global's values, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in Giriama is mandatory.

• Experience with digital data tools, community engagement, financial reconciliation, or social protection programs.
