Organic Growth Expert (AEO/SEO)

Base salary: $100,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own and execute the organic growth roadmap across AI answer engines and traditional search, prioritizing relevant questions, topics, and sources.
• Use search demand, prompt data, citation decay, and competitive gaps to guide content creation and updates with Content and subject matter experts.
• Partner with Web and Engineering on crawlability, indexing, rendering, site architecture, internal linking, and structured data; write implementation briefs and verify changes.
• Build visibility beyond the website through publications, communities, PR, Partnerships, and Social.
• Run and document experiments across content formats, page structures, technical changes, and distribution approaches.
• Track search performance, AI mentions and citations, qualified traffic, conversions, and pipeline; provide product feedback and publish findings, examples, and playbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in SEO or organic growth, including ownership of a program and measurable results.
• Hands-on experience running AEO experiments and explaining the tests, measurement approach, and findings.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge sufficient to diagnose issues, prioritize fixes, and collaborate with engineers on implementation.
• Strong editorial judgment; ability to write useful briefs, edit pages, and identify when content requires original expertise or research.
• Regular use of AI tools and ability to build or adapt workflows with APIs, scripts, or automation platforms.
• Ability to distinguish promising signals from results requiring further testing and explain the difference clearly.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations connected to business impact.
• Ownership from recommendation through execution, with comfort making decisions, collaborating across teams, and adjusting quickly based on learning.
