Security Engineer, 2027 Graduate U.S. (AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Seattle, United States; must be willing and able to work from Seattle. Not eligible for F1 or J1 students and no work sponsorship is available.

Salary: $133,200–$173,900 in Zone A; $120,600–$157,450 in Zone B; $110,556–$144,337 in Zone C, plus possible benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

What you will do

• Develop, test, and maintain security tools and automation for identifying weaknesses, investigating findings, and prioritizing risks.
• Conduct security research, analyze results, distinguish actionable findings from false positives, and communicate impact.
• Use AI-assisted coding and research tools, validate their outputs, build AI-assisted security capabilities, or investigate risks in AI-enabled systems.
• Contribute to security operations, maintain documentation, and improve team tools and workflows.
• Own assigned work and collaborate with security and software engineers through design discussions, code reviews, demonstrations, and feedback.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full time in a bachelor’s or master’s program in Computer Science or a related technical field and graduating by August 2027.
• Familiarity with Java, Python, JavaScript, or other related object-oriented programming languages.
• Knowledge of data structures, including their implementation and application to security challenges.
• Familiarity with common design patterns.
• Demonstrated interest in security through academic coursework, previous work or internship experience, or personal projects.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience investigating security weaknesses through application testing, code analysis, configuration reviews, or security research.
• Exposure to application security, cloud security, identity and access management, endpoint security, or data protection.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools or building with LLM APIs, including testing and validating their outputs.
• Technical work demonstrating the approach, findings, and results, such as projects, security write-ups, or open-source contributions.
• Academic, personal, research, or internship experience related to the role.
• Optional publicly shareable project, security write-up, or technical investigation included with the application; confidential information and undisclosed vulnerabilities must not be shared.
