Software Engineer - Intern (FPGA)

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, and optimize software tools that enable the use of Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA).
• Develop and optimize compilers, flows, assemblers, models, tools, runtimes, and firmware coupled to FPGA silicon, IP, and boards.
• Build software abstractions and frameworks for FPGA acceleration in deep learning, DSP algorithms, and data analytics.
• Work with FPGA hardware, logic design, board design, semiconductor devices, and chip layout.
• Respond to customer, client, and stakeholder requests or events.
• Contribute to a multi-site team while developing solutions for complex engineering problems.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field.
• At least 3 months of experience or coursework in one or more of C/C++, Python, digital logic, FPGAs, Verilog, or similar; relevant experience may come from schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, military training, or work experience.
• Excellent technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and develop quick engineering solutions for complex problems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and tolerance for ambiguity.
• Focus on quality, discipline, and accurate results for engineering customers.
• Ability to contribute and work effectively in a multi-site team setting.
