Generalist Analyst (Platform Risk Intelligence)

Location: Makati, Manila, Philippines; hybrid office working with 2 days per week in the office and Monday–Friday daytime hours with weekend rotation as required.

What you will do

• Detect, investigate, and analyse online threats involving suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, and other mental health concerns using OSINT, SOCMINT, and relevant personas.
• Translate unstructured open-source intelligence into clear, timely intelligence insights for clients and, where appropriate, law enforcement partners.
• Track evolving language, coded terms, and evasive tactics used by bad actors across messaging apps and closed groups.
• Identify emerging risks, direct colleagues toward subjects of interest, and provide rapid analytical support during urgent safety incidents or trend spikes.
• Investigate and propose process or workflow improvements based on best practice.

Requirements

• Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the online suicide and self-harm risk space, ideally with subject matter depth in this research area.
• Genuine interest in online safety and proactive research of new trends and risk areas.
• Excellent research and report-writing skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English.
• High emotional resilience and discretion, with the ability to handle regular exposure to distressing material and follow strict confidentiality protocols.
• Ability to prioritise and manage deadlines across multiple cases, with creativity and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
• Familiarity with OSINT tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience in a research, safeguarding, intelligence, or similar role.
• Fluency in another language.
• SQL, Python, or data manipulation skills.
