Consumer Underwriting Representative (PropTech)

Location: Manila, Philippines; hybrid working arrangement with 2 days working from home; office location in Ortigas.

What you will do

• Review consumer credit reports to assess creditworthiness and identify underwriting risks.
• Collect, review, and verify financial statements, proof of income, identification, and other consumer-provided documents.
• Perform preliminary underwriting reviews according to established policies and guidelines.
• Provide accurate status updates, explain underwriting decisions and next steps, and respond to consumer inquiries through approved communication channels.
• Document consumer interactions and updates in the system of record while maintaining compliance with company policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate complex or high-risk cases and collaborate with underwriting, operations, customer support, and leadership as needed.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and motivated approach to supporting prospective renters through the verification and underwriting process.
• Ability to review and analyze consumer credit reports and assess creditworthiness.
• Ability to review and verify financial statements, proof of income, identification, and other documentation.
• Ability to communicate clearly, accurately, and professionally with consumers about application status, decisions, next steps, and additional information requests.
• Ability to follow underwriting policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to accurately document interactions and updates and escalate issues, concerns, and high-risk cases when necessary.
