Senior Product Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: USD $124,000–$329,200 annually; additional benefits, bonuses, and stock may apply depending on role eligibility.

What you will do

• Analyze complex security issues using multiple data sources and drive resolution of systemic security problems.
• Lead large-scale security reviews, including architectural and design reviews for product feature areas.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams on risk assessments, design reviews, threat modeling, and security throughout design, development, and deployment.
• Identify, prioritize, and manage moderately complex security issues affecting customers, and drive adoption of mitigations.
• Prepare leaders to respond to significant security threats and translate technical security risks for nontechnical audiences.
• Develop secure engineering documentation, guidance, and other materials, while coaching others on security practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in security analysis, security research, cybersecurity, security engineering, software engineering, or a relevant area; alternatively, an Associate's Degree with 6+ years, Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years, Master's Degree with 3+ years, Doctorate with 1+ year, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in coding or software development.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud security and modern software development practices.
• Relevant security certifications such as OSWE, Burp Suite Certified Practitioner, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in security principles, including the Security Development Lifecycle, and experience in vulnerability management.
• Ability to influence others and communicate complex technical security concepts as actionable insights for technical and nontechnical audiences.
