Senior Information Systems Security Officer (Clearance Required)

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, United States; onsite role.

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the development, implementation, and oversight of cybersecurity policies and procedures for complex classified systems.
• Maintain compliance with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FISMA, JSIG, DAAPM, and other applicable frameworks.
• Lead Authority to Operate efforts and manage security authorization documentation, including SSPs and eMASS system records.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans using ACAS, SCAP, and STIGs; manage POA&Ms and vulnerability mitigation.
• Coordinate incident response, monitor logs and network traffic, investigate breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise system owners and stakeholders and collaborate with ISSMs, ISSEs, PMs, and AOs on security posture and user guidance.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with an active Full Scope Polygraph is required; Conditional Clearance Access/CCA status is not accepted.
• Significant experience supporting cybersecurity governance and compliance for complex classified systems.
• Experience with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, FISMA, JSIG, DAAPM, ATO processes, SSPs, POA&Ms, and configuration management.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and vulnerability scans with ACAS, SCAP, and STIGs.
• Experience with eMASS or equivalent authorization and security management platforms.
• Knowledge of incident response, security monitoring, breach investigation, and corrective action planning.
• Ability to advise system owners and collaborate with ISSMs, ISSEs, project managers, and authorizing officials.
