Staff Software Engineer, Information Security (AI)

Location: ISD Office - DGTC AR Bentonville Home Office, United States

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses; certain positions may also include stock.

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and address technical and business requirements for information security solutions.
• Design scalable, modular, and secure software architectures aligned with business objectives and compliance standards.
• Develop, review, and maintain high-quality Python code and other relevant software.
• Implement automation scripts for continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to resolve security vulnerabilities and software defects.
• Monitor program metrics and report progress against milestones and risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related area, plus 4 years of experience in software engineering or a related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
• Option 2: 6 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
• Expertise in software architecture, scalability, and distributed systems with high availability and disaster recovery considerations.
• Strong proficiency in Python, coding standards, automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships through communication, analysis, and engagement.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and their implementation in software development lifecycles.
• Experience with debugging, defect management, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into modular, extensible technical solutions.

Nice to have

• Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC.
• Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related area.
• 2 years of experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
• Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, digital accessibility, and accessibility best practices.
