Manager, Analytics CAM (Machine Learning)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; Job location: Toronto-141 Bay, 17th Floor. Legal eligibility to work at the specified location is required, with a valid work or study permit where applicable. The work arrangement, including the proportion of on-site and remote work, will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Provide advanced consulting advice, research, insights, and recommendations for collections operations and Client Account Management.
• Conduct deep data analysis, develop benchmarks and thresholds, and communicate performance metrics.
• Apply statistical modelling, data mining, machine learning, and advanced analytical techniques to solve business problems.
• Lead data and reporting projects aligned with CIBC strategy, business goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
• Identify enhancements to automated systems and processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of collections operations.
• Manage relationships with Data and Reporting partners and other internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Skills in programming languages and modern big data and analytical tools, including SAS, SQL, Python, R, Hadoop, Spark, Alteryx, and Databricks.
• Experience with collections and/or risk management data, including early-stage, mid-stage, late-stage, and dialer collections processes.
• Proficiency in machine learning and advanced modelling, including predictive models and advanced statistical methodologies.
• Experience applying and developing data science solutions to solve complex business problems and optimize strategies and outcomes.
• Ability to mentor analytics teams and work autonomously using independent judgment.
• Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, verbal communication, writing, and business documentation skills.
• Knowledge of IT environments and business process integration.
