Senior Controls Assessment & Testing Specialist • Tech and Ops First Line Risk

Location: Hybrid position in Buffalo, NY, United States of America.

Salary: $85,800–$143,000 annual (USD).

What you will do

• Execute assigned engagements under the Annual Controls Testing Plan across Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data risk domains.
• Partner with Risk Advisors, Risk Owners, Control Owners, and Process Owners to understand risks, objectives, processes, testing attributes, and required evidence.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness using established testing methodologies, standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
• Identify control deficiencies, documentation gaps, risk concerns, and improvement opportunities, and communicate observations to stakeholders.
• Evaluate remediation evidence for issues, audit findings, regulatory matters, and control deficiencies.
• Document testing results, support regulatory engagements and audits, prepare management reporting, and improve testing and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or at least 7 combined years of higher education and/or work experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in or with risk, audit, technology, cybersecurity, or a related area.
• Proficient knowledge of Technology and/or Cybersecurity risk principles.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and industry best practices related to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Experience meeting strict deadlines.

• Applicable certification such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, or CISSP.
