Salary: $153,000–$261,000 USD annually for California locations; U.S. salary ranges are $138,000–$234,000.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, debug, and implement software components, tools, and utilities for enterprise medical device products and cross-platform iOS and Android applications.
• Define software design requirements and ensure implementation meets product quality standards.
• Create software architecture, design standards, procedures, and best practices using MVC, MVVM, Singleton, Factory, and Observer patterns.
• Design BLE communication stacks for medical devices and characterize BLE performance under varied RF conditions.
• Implement mobile data storage using mobile databases, DAOs, or persistence frameworks, and consume web services through REST API frameworks or libraries.
• Develop encryption, secured BLE communication layers, reusable mobile components, and continuous integration practices for iOS, Android, and medical device applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing mobile applications for iOS and Android.
• Experience with software architecture, design patterns, testing, debugging, implementation, and product quality practices.
• Experience with BLE communication, mobile data storage, REST APIs, application security, encryption/decryption, and secured BLE communication.
• Experience implementing continuous integration practices for mobile or medical device applications.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a principal software engineer or in a related mobile development and testing occupation.
• BLE communication experience.
