Senior General/Interdisciplinary Engineer

Location: Tinker AFB, Oklahoma, United States; hybrid. Travel up to 20% to Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts, and Seattle.

What you will do

• Support engineering activities across material solution analysis, development, production, deployment, operation, and sustainment phases.
• Develop system architectures, architecture analyses, engineering plans, technical documentation, reviews, briefings, and acquisition artifacts.
• Translate DoD user requirements into system requirements and assess system, subsystem, training, equipment, and simulator designs.
• Support requirements management, integration, verification and validation, risk, interface, configuration, logistics, and technical management activities.
• Conduct trade studies, cost and effectiveness analyses, market research, root-cause analyses, and technical evaluations.
• Develop and support test plans, TEMP documentation, test readiness reviews, developmental testing, and operational test planning.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen.
• Must hold and be able to maintain an active Top Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university and 12 years of related experience, including 5 years in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience, including 8 years in DoD.
• Experience supporting weapon-system and subsystem planning, implementation, sustainment, and modernization.
• Experience with technical documentation, engineering analyses, management reports, executive-level briefings, and requirements development.
• Experience with engineering economics, cost-benefit analysis, complex technical problem-solving, and corrective-action planning.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
• Experience with systems architecture, interoperability, acquisition and sustainment processes, MBSE, simulation, digital engineering, and technical performance analysis.
• Experience with requirements, risk, interface, configuration, logistics, quality, reliability, maintainability, and technical data management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical problem-solving, organization, time management, adaptability, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
