Data Analist (Banking)

Location: ACT (Amsterdam - Acanthus), Netherlands; hybrid working.

What you will do

• Design and develop statistical deep-dive analyses of operational processes.
• Build data models, visualisations, dashboards, and numerical insights for projects and day-to-day operations.
• Prepare reporting for ING Group, the Executive Committee of ING Domestic Bank Netherlands, COO NL management, and other senior stakeholders.
• Identify stakeholder requirements and support high-quality, automated, sustainable data solutions for operations.
• Maintain dashboards, answer ad-hoc data requests, and provide analytical support for annual budgeting.
• Support junior data analysts, challenge existing ways of working, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Requirements

• HBO/WO Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field, or proven experience in this working field.
• 3–5 years of experience with statistical data analysis and data frameworks.
• Familiarity with operational banking processes, IT tooling, and service concepts.
• Broad practical experience with data preparation and analysis techniques, including SAS and SQL.
• Experience with dashboarding tools such as Cognos.
• Experience with stakeholder management.
• Proactive approach to finding and implementing improvements.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, a results-oriented approach, and an eye for improvement potential.
