Workday Extend Developer

Location: Gdansk, Poland; the role is available in five locations and requires willingness to travel to customer sites and collaborate with colleagues from other offices.

What you will do

• Capture requirements, document solutions, and implement, deploy, and support Workday Extend applications.
• Contribute to Workday Extend implementation projects as part of a team of Extend consultants.
• Develop and share knowledge of the Workday product, Extend platform toolset, and HCM and Financials business domains.
• Build customer relationships, understand requirements, and ensure solutions are fit for purpose and commercially viable.
• Work with limited supervision, escalate issues appropriately, plan workload, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, and JSON, plus knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably J2EE.
• Good understanding of cloud computing, web services, and associated challenges.
• Customer focus and some experience in a consulting or client-facing environment.
• Clear and effective communication with customers and colleagues, including in remote working situations; proficient English.
• Good commercial awareness and some understanding of project and business dynamics.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work in remote teams, alongside customers, and independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to apply relevant standards and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and ensure information security.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and collaborate with colleagues from other offices.

Nice to have

• Workday Integrations or Workday Extend certification.
• Experience designing workflows to solve business and technical problems.
