Mid Java Fullstack Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid, based in Lisbon, Portugal, with on-site presence 3 times per week. Candidates must be based in Portugal and hold Portuguese or EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable Java microservices for complex e-commerce domains, including Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing.
• Build and document RESTful and GraphQL APIs with complete OpenAPI specifications.
• Own features from architecture discussions through implementation, testing, and deployment with minimal oversight.
• Apply code quality and security standards using SonarQube and Snyk, supported by structured code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer, architectural decisions, and engineering standards within a consulting squad.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer using Java and React.
• Proficiency in Java microservices development and experience designing and implementing scalable services across complex e-commerce domains such as Checkout, MyAccount, and ODR Processing.
• Ability to build and document RESTful and GraphQL APIs with full OpenAPI specifications.
• Familiarity with SonarQube and Snyk, and commitment to enforcing code quality and security standards through structured code reviews.
• Ability to own the full feature lifecycle from architecture discussion through implementation, testing, and deployment with minimal oversight.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer, architectural decisions, and engineering standards in a consulting squad.
• Fluency in English at C1 level and Portuguese at C1 level.
• Availability for a hybrid model three times per week, based in Lisbon.
• Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit for Portugal.
