Mathematics Expert (AI)

Location: Global — Fully Remote; flexible schedule with weekday or weekend availability; approximately 15 hours per week.

Salary: $80–$120 per hour; output-based compensation is provided for each task meeting the project's specifications.

What you will do

• Solve, create, review, and validate advanced mathematical and computational problems.
• Translate mathematical requirements into precise, executable workflows.
• Implement mathematical algorithms using Python, command-line tools, and scientific computing libraries.
• Automate calculations, numerical experiments, parameter sweeps, and result validation.
• Review computational outputs for mathematical correctness, numerical stability, and reproducibility.
• Use scientific computing tools to support complex mathematical analysis.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computational Science, Theoretical Computer Science, or a closely related quantitative field; or a bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related quantitative field with at least 1–2 years of mathematics-focused professional or research experience at a leading company or institution.
• Strong expertise in at least one of applied mathematics and numerical analysis, optimization and operations research, probability and statistics, discrete mathematics, algebra and geometry, or mathematical modeling and dynamical systems.
• Strong computational problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to implement, test, and validate mathematical solutions using Python or equivalent computational tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Julia, GNU Octave, SymPy, SageMath, NumPy, SciPy, CVXPY, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, statsmodels, NetworkX, or equivalent command-line-accessible mathematical software.
• Readiness to begin immediately.
