Business Intelligence Consulting Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Edmonton, Calgary, or Toronto, Canada; hybrid work aligned to an hirify.global office, with required travel to assigned client locations of up to 25% and reliable transportation required.

Salary: CAD 50,160–59,850 annually.

What you will do

• Execute solution delivery engagements and provide operational support to hirify.global clients and engagement teams.
• Define, refine, document, and clarify client requirements.
• Build reports, dashboards, and scorecards using a variety of tools.
• Create demonstration scenarios and prototypes.
• Support existing clients and collaborate with consultants across regions and practices.
• Travel to assigned client locations and work with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Work toward or recently complete a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree from an accredited university, with at least 90 credit hours completed.
• Currently pursue or recently complete a bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, or Management Information Systems.
• Developing proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine, including database administration and maintenance, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services.
• Ability to use data visualization tools and dashboards for reporting and storytelling.
• Strong Excel fundamentals and experience using T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, views, and functions, to manipulate data and simplify data access.
• Experience with data modeling and manipulation using normalized and denormalized data models, with an understanding of the appropriate purpose of each.
• Experience developing basic web or desktop applications using the ASP.NET framework.
• Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to interact with internal and external resources at all organizational levels.
• Excellent project management, organization, follow-up, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and independent working skills, including in virtual teams.
• Ability to travel up to 25%, with access to and ability to arrange reliable transportation to assigned client locations.
