Software Engineer (React) – Junior, Mid-level or Senior

Location: Nicosia, Cyprus; hybrid model with part of the work from home and part from the office.

Salary: EUR 27,000.00–37,000.00 per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, debug, maintain, support, implement and validate applications throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Craft and integrate React UI components, optimize front-end performance and maintain clear front-end code documentation.
• Develop high-quality product code independently or with guidance appropriate to the assigned level.
• Investigate and resolve client software issues, support the client software lifecycle and implement corrective measures for code deficiencies.
• Support project and product implementations at client premises or on AWS.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and knowledge sharing; senior engineers may mentor less-experienced colleagues and promote engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Degree in an IT-related subject, such as Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and concepts.
• Knowledge of or experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
• Knowledge of database concepts and cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of or experience with React, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Familiarity with React workflows, RESTful API integration, and front-end build tools and pipelines.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Junior-level candidates must demonstrate a sound foundation in software development and relevant technical skills through academic, personal, internship or professional experience.
• Senior-level candidates typically need 4+ years of substantial professional experience delivering production software with React and related technologies, plus the ability to own complex work independently, contribute to technical design, troubleshoot challenging issues and support other engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript and modern React state-management or data-fetching libraries.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
• Experience with front-end automated testing using Jest or React Testing Library.
• Familiarity with application security, performance monitoring and observability practices.
