Business Intelligence Consulting Associate (Fall 2027)

Location: Edmonton, Canada; other locations include Calgary and Toronto. Hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office, with in-person work based on client, team, development, or relationship-building needs. Travel to assigned client locations is required, including up to 25% travel and travel to the United States for work or training.

Compensation range: $61,600–$73,500.

What you will do

• Execute solution delivery engagements and provide operational support to hirify.global clients and engagement teams.
• Define, refine, document, and translate client requirements into business intelligence solutions.
• Build reports, dashboards, and scorecards using a variety of tools.
• Develop demonstration scenarios and prototypes.
• Provide ongoing support to existing clients.
• Collaborate with consultants across regions and practices.

Requirements

• Working toward or recently completed a B.A., B.S., or equivalent degree from an accredited university; relevant fields include Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science or Analytics, and Management Information Systems.
• Developing proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine, including database administration and maintenance, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services.
• Experience using T-SQL scripts, including stored procedures, views, and functions, to manipulate data and simplify data access.
• Experience with normalized and denormalized data models and understanding of their appropriate use.
• Ability to work with data visualization tools and dashboards for reporting and storytelling.
• Strong Excel fundamentals and experience developing basic web or desktop applications using the ASP.NET framework.
• Effective written and verbal communication and the ability to interact with internal and external resources at all organizational levels.
• Excellent project management, organization, follow-up, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work as a team member, in virtual teams, and independently; reliable transportation is required for assigned client locations.
• Ability to travel to the United States for work or training during employment and travel up to 25%.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
