Senior Information Security Analyst (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Springfield, Missouri; remote work is not an option.

What you will do

• Lead continuous monitoring and tuning of firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM platforms to detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats.
• Perform advanced log correlation and forensic analysis across multiple systems, identify complex threats, and initiate mitigation strategies.
• Act as an escalation point for complex security incidents and oversee investigation, containment, eradication, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop incident response playbooks, tabletop exercises, and threat simulations.
• Improve security monitoring by identifying SIEM content gaps, recommending use cases, integrating threat intelligence feeds, and participating in threat hunting.
• Create technical and user documentation, support security compliance procedures, analyze emerging issues, and resolve complex operational challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent level.
• 3 to 6 years of experience as an experienced practitioner able to handle most situations and advise others.
• Basic managerial experience coordinating the work of others for 4 to 6 months.
• Comprehensive security knowledge and the ability to work independently while providing guidance and training to others.
• Ability to implement transaction security and computer/network virus protection, and maintain system, service, and information security, integrity, compliance, and continuity.
• Ability to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information; analyze data trends; and prepare reports for decision-making.
• Ability to create clear, comprehensive, user-friendly guides, manuals, narratives, and reports that communicate complex technical concepts.
• Ability to acquire, organize, protect, and process data; use standard office equipment and software; and review reports prepared by others.

• Experience controlling access to servers, systems, and computers.
• Proficiency troubleshooting a wide range of IT hardware, software, and network systems.
• Ability to evaluate and use digital technology and information while considering safety, privacy, and ethical requirements.
