Senior Software Engineer - Core Platform - Streaming & Storages

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days in office and 2 days remote in Century City, CA, Aliso Viejo, CA, or New York, NY, United States.

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD gross annual base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop SDKs, services, shared packages, tools, and platform capabilities that improve engineering productivity.
• Develop a performant cross-language runtime environment serving as a container for business and customer-facing services.
• Architect and implement high-performance, scalable services used by internal engineering customers.
• Act as a subject matter expert in distributed caching, messaging, and related design patterns.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify technical inefficiencies and deliver scalable solutions and engineering patterns.
• Drive platform performance, scalability, software quality, and reliability improvements.

Requirements

• 5–6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building robust, mission-critical systems using one or more general-purpose programming languages, such as C/C++, Java, C#, or another object-oriented language.
• Expertise in designing and optimizing distributed systems, including microservices architectures, caching strategies, and message queuing systems.
• Ability to analyze and improve system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
• Experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact.
• Strong understanding of system interactions with production environments, dependencies, and platform primitives.
• Ability to learn additional coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience owning projects from initial concept through production and mentoring junior engineers.
