Senior QA Engineer (Fullstack, Backend)

Location: Onsite in the Limassol office, Cyprus.

What you will do

• Analyze requirements and collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams on technical specifications.
• Perform manual and automated functional and non-functional testing, including customer scenario, stress, performance, sanity, and regression testing.
• Identify, track, report, and investigate bugs, including clear root cause and impact analysis.
• Maintain test environments and contribute to test strategies for complex systems with high availability and reliability requirements.
• Design and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and improve QA automation and overall QA processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience, specifically on backend projects, including 2+ years troubleshooting Java applications.
• Proficiency in Java programming for test automation development.
• Solid knowledge of testing methodologies and test design techniques, including boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and state transition testing.
• Experience designing and maintaining test cases in Allure TestOps, including requirements traceability and test reporting.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and event-driven architectures, including inter-service communication, message brokers, and asynchronous processing.
• Proven experience testing TCP socket-based integrations such as WebSocket and gRPC.
• Strong analytical skills, including impact analysis, traceability matrices, and work with functional and non-functional requirements.
• Experience identifying root causes and understanding issue consequences in complex backend environments.
• Good working knowledge of SQL for backend data and query validation, plus Linux CLI knowledge for troubleshooting and test environment maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, English at B1 level or above, and Russian.
• AI-augmented approach to thinking, working, and delivering results.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with binary protocols such as FIX.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and Redis.
• Experience in the Forex industry or knowledge of trading platforms.
