Staff/Lead SDET Engineer (Test Automation Platform)

Location: On-site in Limassol, Cyprus; full relocation and visa support are provided for the employee and family.

What you will do

• Define the roadmap and target architecture for the internal QA test automation platform, evolving existing solutions incrementally.
• Build domain APIs, fixtures, and test-state preparation tools for integration and component testing over existing Python clients and SDKs.
• Extend UI automation and enable sub-UI checks across Android, WebGL, and future iOS clients.
• Unify local and CI execution and integrate automated checks into predictable quality gates.
• Create diagnostics that help QA engineers distinguish product, test, tooling, and infrastructure failures.
• Translate QA needs into product testability requirements, collaborate with client and backend teams, document the platform, mentor users, and support adoption.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience regularly writing, debugging, and maintaining Python code for libraries, frameworks, SDKs, or internal tools.
• Experience designing or substantially evolving a framework or SDK used independently by multiple teams.
• Experience building stable public APIs over existing SDKs while hiding low-level implementation details.
• Experience driving testability capabilities with backend, client, or framework teams without direct managerial authority.
• Experience integrating automated checks into CI quality gates with reproducibility and diagnostics.
• Experience using LLMs and coding agents to investigate codebases, develop tooling, or create tests.
• Deep hands-on expertise in at least one of client/UI automation or backend/integration tooling, with technical responsibility for the other: UI drivers, custom or non-native UI, synchronization, and sub-UI checks; or Python clients and SDKs, protocols, sessions, fixtures, and test state.

Nice to have

• Experience with both client/UI and backend/integration tooling.
• Experience modernizing legacy automation and conducting incremental user migrations.
• Experience with complex test lifecycles, including data isolation, flaky checks, and state management.
• GameDev or complex live-service product experience, including Unity, Cocos/Axmol, or WebGL.
• Familiarity with Selenium, Appium, Playwright, XCUITest, Android ADB, or iOS infrastructure.
• Experience with asynchronous Python, typed models such as Pydantic or mypy, or schema-based code generation.
