TL;DR
Translator Project Manager (Translation): Managing translation projects from intake and quoting through delivery, including certified and legal translations, with an accent on CAT-tool workflows, linguistic-team coordination, and quality assurance. Focus on configuring Phrase projects, interpreting Xbench reports, using AI with mandatory human review, and improving operational systems and client workflows.
Location: Lima, Peru; on-site in San Isidro Monday to Thursday and remote Friday. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM-6 PM Peru time.
Salary: $1,000 USD per month.

What you will do
- Receive and evaluate translation requests, clarify language pairs, service types, deadlines, and certification needs, and respond to clients.
- Scope projects, select Phrase, Word, or DTP/recreation workflows, prepare quotes, apply CAT pricing and repetition discounts, and protect margins.
- Create and manage jobs and quotes in LSP.Expert; configure Phrase projects with files, translation memories, and term bases.
- Assign translators, reviewers, and QA reviewers; provide instructions, track deadlines, monitor progress, and coordinate with Vendor & Operations.
- Run QA on deliverables, including certified and legal translations, use Xbench reports, manage invoices, and complete the weekly operational scorecard.
- Support client accounts and interpretation-project backup coverage while documenting and improving SOPs, templates, checklists, glossaries, and workflows.
Requirements
- Experience managing translation projects, ideally from quote through delivery.
- Hands-on experience with Phrase or a similar CAT tool, including glossary and terminology management.
- Experience using AI to improve translation or transcription workflows, with human review required for every deliverable.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and clear written communication.
- Full professional English proficiency.
- Ability to work on-site in San Isidro, Lima, Monday through Thursday.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with QA tools such as Xbench.
- Experience with certified or legal translations.
