Project Manager – Data Center Project (HOAI)

Location: Hybrid, predominantly remote; candidate should be based in Germany, with travel to project sites across Germany and Europe approximately once a month.

What you will do

• Coordinate the development of data center projects in Germany from HOAI Basic Evaluation through Approval Planning, Phases 1–4.
• Coordinate external engineering consultants, architectural firms, and technical experts.
• Translate client requirements, global design standards, and operational expectations into actionable goals for local design teams.
• Oversee the compilation and submission of German building permit applications and liaise with authorities and municipalities.
• Review technical drawings, concepts, and cost estimates for feasibility, cost-efficiency, and local compliance.
• Track risks, milestones, budget, schedule, and quality, and provide progress reports to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of project management experience with a proven track record in data center development.
• Deep knowledge of the German HOAI framework, including deliverables and processes for Phases 1–4.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including alignment of external design teams with corporate client stakeholders.
• Fluent German and English.
• Strong familiarity with German building regulations, including BauGB, LBauO, and DIN standards.
• Willingness to travel to locations across Germany and Europe, approximately once a month.
