Operations Data Specialist (Mapping)

Location: Minsk, Kirova Street 8. On-site work from the employer's office is required. A 2/2 shift schedule is required: day shift from 8:00 to 20:00 and night shift from 20:00 to 8:00.

Salary: from 630 USD net per month.

MapData operates the Mapbox Minsk R&D center, developing navigation map data for people, packages, and vehicles using anonymous data from millions of sensors and phones in real time.

What you will do

• Review traffic data, including road incidents such as construction and closures, and customer feedback.
• Perform root-cause analysis using multiple data sources and tools to understand customer issues.
• Make high-quality edits in OSM and other internal data sources according to guidelines.
• Investigate issues, identify patterns, and write reports.
• Work closely with teammates, managers, and engineers to improve tools, workflows, products, and services.

Requirements

• From 1 to 3 years of experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to work with large volumes of traffic data, identify patterns, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ability to learn new tools, workflows, and guidelines quickly.
• English at B1 level for daily written and spoken communication, reading guidelines, and writing reports.
• Willingness to work from the office on a 2/2 schedule with day and night shifts is required.
• Basic knowledge of traffic regulations is required.

Nice to have

• Background in GIS or cartography and familiarity with OSM or similar mapping tools.
• Practical use of AI tools for data retrieval, automation, or workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript, or low-code platforms for analysis and automation.
• Comfort working with Jira and Confluence.
