Associate Data Leader (Financial Data)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with in-person collaboration each week, typically four days in-office. Unlimited working rights in Australia are required; candidates on student visas with an expiry date are not eligible.

What you will do

• Manage a team of Data Consultants by setting objectives, providing feedback, developing skills, and supporting talent growth.
• Manage relationships with asset managers, superannuation providers, Model/SMA providers, platforms, custodians, administrators, and other third-party data providers.
• Establish data acquisition channels, visit data providers, and act as an escalation point when channels fail.
• Support Business Development, Product, Sales, and Marketing with managed investment data expertise and market insight.
• Monitor competitor behavior, trends, and services while contributing to strategic business initiatives and complex data-set onboarding.
• Collaborate with global operational, subject-matter, and business leaders while aligning Australia & New Zealand stakeholders and promoting managed investment data internally and externally.

Requirements

• Experience successfully leading a multi-location team is preferred.
• Thought leadership in transforming business operations and workforce.
• Strong financial knowledge and understanding of the asset management industry and competitive landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to build successful external relationships with asset managers, regulators, and third-party data providers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders across regions and functional teams.
• Proven client-centric approach.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.
• Expertise in hirify.global data, methodology, quality, and processes.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia are required; the role is not open to candidates on student visas with an expiry date.
