Senior Platform Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Expand Azure Cloud capabilities using Infrastructure as Code and Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework principles.
• Build and operate infrastructure for agentic AI workloads, including agent hosting, orchestration, reliability, and scaling.
• Develop a hybrid AI setup combining cloud-native AI capabilities with on-premises infrastructure.
• Contribute to AI Center of Excellence guidance and standards for agentic usage, credit and cost management, and agent scaling.
• Strengthen and tune Kubernetes workloads for performance, resilience, and efficiency.
• Drive a developer-friendly Platform Engineering approach in collaboration with Software Engineering teams and the AI Center of Excellence.

Requirements

• Solid understanding of the Azure Cloud ecosystem, including its opportunities and limitations.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Bicep.
• Experience with scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Kubernetes fundamentals, including deployments, services, and scaling.
• Curiosity about or exposure to AI infrastructure concepts such as model hosting, agent orchestration frameworks, or GPU-backed workloads.
• General familiarity with CI/CD and networking.
• Ability to solve complex technical challenges, challenge established ways of working, and combine technical depth with a pragmatic mindset.
