Platform Engineer

Location: Aarhus, Denmark; four days in the office

What you will do

• Define and enforce patterns for resilient, observable, cost-efficient, and maintainable cloud-native microservices.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and optimize open-source and cloud-native platform systems for high availability and reliability.
• Own the lifecycle of high-availability Kubernetes clusters in AWS, including upgrades every four months.
• Evolve asynchronous messaging infrastructure and critical database systems for performance and reliability.
• Help shape next-generation environments, including sovereign cloud and AI-optimized infrastructure operations.
• Solve distributed-systems challenges in a highly regulated environment while accounting for security and compliance constraints.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a Platform, SRE, or DevOps role.
• Experience with Terraform or a similar infrastructure-as-code tool.
• Hands-on experience running workloads in Kubernetes and managing core AWS services.
• Practical experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, including basic performance tuning and RDS management.
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous messaging patterns and message queues, particularly RabbitMQ.
• Experience building diagnosable systems through observability practices and a focus on production reliability.
