Financial Accounting Manager

Location: Singapore; hybrid working with 2 days in the office.

What you will do

• Manage the General Ledger team and deliver the three-business-day monthly close and year-end financial close.
• Oversee journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting analyses, and group, subsidiary, and branch financial statements.
• Coordinate statutory reporting deliverables and audit support across eight branches and subsidiaries.
• Prepare technical accounting analysis and recommendations for non-routine matters.
• Monitor financial controls, identify weaknesses, recommend improvements, and manage relationships with internal and external audit teams.
• Coach and develop Financial Accountants while delivering continuous improvement and automation across accounting processes.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification and 5–7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and experience applying accounting standards in a financial reporting environment.
• Experience managing a financial accounting or reporting team.
• Proven experience delivering a short month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory reporting, and external audits.
• Experience preparing technical accounting analyses and audit support documentation.
• Experience improving accounting processes, controls, systems, or reporting.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain accounting issues clearly.
• Proactive and organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain quality under deadline pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience in an international, multinational, or complex multi-entity organisation.
• Professional services or external audit firm experience.
• Knowledge of international tax concepts.
