Java Trainee

Location: Kazakhstan; candidates from Almaty attend the employer's office during the training period, while candidates from other cities in Kazakhstan can join online.

Salary: from 270,000 KZT per month before taxes.

Andersen is an international IT outsourcing company creating digital products for fintech, banking, healthcare, logistics, e-commerce, and other industries.

What you will do

• Complete a five-month, full-time traineeship lasting five days per week and eight hours per day.
• Develop backend skills using Java and a modern technology stack.
• Work on a practice-oriented training project designed to replicate commercial product development.
• Prepare for work on large-scale enterprise solutions and commercial projects.
• Progress toward a Junior-level role and potential employment after successfully completing the program.

Requirements

• English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of Java Core and understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Understanding of relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of Git principles and experience with version control systems.
• Experience writing unit tests.
• Understanding of the Spring Framework and ORM technologies, including Hibernate.
• Educational, pet, or test projects in a portfolio.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java EE fundamentals, including Servlets and JSP.
• Understanding of REST API principles.
• Technical background.
• German proficiency at Intermediate level or higher.
• Strong learning ability, motivation for continuous growth, and good communication skills.
